Emergencies or disasters can occur in urban centres at any time. Whether you are faced with a weather-related power outage, disruption in the food supply or act of terrorism, are you prepared?
Regardless of duration, emergency or disaster situations require a survivalist mindset, no matter where you are. In this one-day workshop, Laura Reeves and Dwayne Logan will demonstrate how to apply wilderness survival principles in an urban setting. Topics will include urban shelters, safe water, heat sources, alternative cooking methods, food storage, security, home preparedness kits and more! As usual, we will make this a fun, stimulating and interactive workshop!
Depending on interest, the next workshop may be in the fall (2013) or spring (2014).
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
