Get ready for a fun adventure in wild edible plant identification, harvesting and preparation! These one-day workshops will give you the confidence you need to incorporate a variety of common wild edibles into everyday meals. With Laura’s guidance, you will prepare a full-course meal with a variety of wild edibles that you gathered, yourself! (Over 15 species of plants have been gathered by a single class!)
– how to break through the “wall of green” with simple plant identification tips
– how to tell edible plants from their poisonous look-alikes
– when and how to gather various species and plant parts (roots, tubers, shoots, leaves, flowers, seeds)
– how to incorporate wild edibles into simple, everyday meals
This full-day workshop generally runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Though I try to wrap things up at 6:00, it doesn’t always happen, so please plan accordingly.
Class size is limited to 12 to maximize your hands-on experience.
